How this FAQ works

Every answer starts with the direct answer, then adds the detail. Questions are grouped by topic. Facts about the product come from the label and the maker's order and policy pages as of October 2026; facts about ingredients come from the research linked at the bottom of the page. If an answer here conflicts with your clinician's advice, follow your clinician.

The product

What is Melonex?

Melonex is a capsule dietary supplement sold as "Melonex Advanced Support" for heart and circulation support. Each capsule contains a 500 mg blend of L-citrulline DL-malate, L-arginine alpha-ketoglutarate and L-arginine HCl; each bottle holds 60 capsules.

Who makes Melonex?

The label names Instituto Experience of Lakeland, Florida, as distributor and says it is made in the USA in an FDA-registered facility. The sales page footer credits Eagle Labs, the checkout says Melonex Research and the terms name GEX Corporation LLP. The actual manufacturer is not named.

Is Melonex a medicine?

No. It is a dietary supplement. It is not approved to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, including high blood pressure.

Is Melonex the same as a nitric oxide booster?

Yes, in category terms. Its ingredients are the amino acids the body uses to make nitric oxide.

Why is it called Advanced Support?

That is the product line name printed on the label. It is a marketing name; there is no standard or basic version listed by the maker, and "advanced" does not refer to a higher dose.

Does Melonex contain watermelon?

No. Citrulline was first found in watermelon and is named after it, which may explain the brand name, but the label lists purified amino acids, not watermelon extract.

Ingredients and doses

How much citrulline is in Melonex?

The label does not say. Citrulline malate is part of a 500 mg blend with two arginine forms. Even if the whole blend were citrulline malate, one capsule would hold roughly 250 to 330 mg of citrulline.

How much arginine is in Melonex?

Also not stated. The two arginine forms share the 500 mg blend with citrulline malate, which is listed first and is probably the largest part.

Is the Melonex dose enough to lower blood pressure?

It is far below the doses used in trials: 4 to 24 grams a day for arginine and about 3 to 6 grams for citrulline. One capsule contains half a gram of all three ingredients combined.

Does Melonex have any stimulants?

No caffeine, yohimbe or other stimulant is listed.

Why does Melonex use a proprietary blend?

The maker does not say. Blends are legal and protect a recipe from competitors, but they stop buyers from comparing doses with research. You can ask the maker for the per-ingredient amounts.

Is L-citrulline better than L-arginine?

For raising blood arginine, yes. Citrulline avoids breakdown by arginase enzymes in the gut and liver, so oral citrulline raises plasma arginine more efficiently than oral arginine in human studies.

What are the other ingredients?

A hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (plant cellulose) capsule, microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate.

How to take it

How many Melonex capsules a day?

One capsule daily with an 8 oz glass of water. The label allows up to two a day. Do not exceed two.

When is the best time to take Melonex?

The maker suggests the morning. Any consistent time works; consistency matters more than the hour.

Should I take Melonex with food?

The label does not require food. If it bothers your stomach, take it with breakfast.

Can I open the capsule?

The label does not address it. The powder is sour if citrulline malate is the main ingredient; swallowing the capsule whole is the intended use.

Can I take two capsules at once?

The label allows up to two a day and does not say whether to split them. Taking both in the morning is simplest; if you notice light-headedness, split them morning and afternoon or go back to one.

What if I miss a dose?

Take the next one at the usual time. Do not double up to make up for it.

Results and timing

How long does Melonex take to work?

There is no study of Melonex. Trials of its ingredients measured changes over several weeks. Plan a six-to-eight-week trial with home readings and decide before day 60.

How will I know if it is working?

Only by measuring. Take a week of home readings before you start, then compare weekly averages. How you feel is not a reliable guide to blood pressure.

How much could my blood pressure drop?

Gram-dose arginine trials averaged about 5 mmHg systolic. At Melonex's dose, any effect is likely to be smaller and may be indistinguishable from normal variation.

Can I stop taking Melonex suddenly?

Yes. Citrulline and arginine have no known withdrawal effect. Stopping a prescribed blood pressure medicine suddenly is a different matter and should only be done with your prescriber.

Will Melonex help my circulation or cold hands?

Possibly a little, through nitric oxide, but cold extremities have many causes, including thyroid problems and artery disease, that need a proper check.

Safety and interactions

Is Melonex safe?

For most healthy adults, citrulline and arginine at half a gram to a gram a day are well tolerated. The main risks are interactions with blood pressure drugs, nitrates and ED drugs, and use after a heart attack.

Can I take Melonex with blood pressure medication?

Only with your prescriber's agreement. Effects can add up, and your medication dose may need watching.

Can I take Melonex with Viagra or Cialis?

Ask your doctor first. PDE5 inhibitors act on the same pathway, and combining vasodilators can lower blood pressure too far.

Is Melonex safe after a heart attack?

Not without a cardiologist's approval. In the VINTAGE MI trial, arginine after a heart attack showed no benefit and more deaths, and the trial was stopped.

Can women take Melonex?

Yes, adults of either sex, but the label excludes pregnancy and breastfeeding without a physician's advice.

Is Melonex safe for people with kidney disease?

Ask your nephrologist first. The kidneys convert citrulline to arginine and handle amino-acid nitrogen, and the label advises anyone with a known medical condition to consult a physician.

Can Melonex cause low blood pressure?

It is possible in theory, mainly when combined with other medicines that lower pressure. Dizziness when standing up, fainting or unusual tiredness are reasons to stop and check your readings.

Does Melonex cause side effects?

Few at this dose. Large doses of arginine cause stomach upset and diarrhea. Dizziness on standing can occur if blood pressure drops, especially with other medicines.

Orders and shipping

Is Melonex sold on Amazon or in Walmart?

How much is shipping?

Free in the U.S. on 3- and 6-bottle packs; $9.99 on the 2-bottle pack.

Is there a subscription?

No. Each order is a one-time charge.

Contact the maker right away with your order ID at [email protected] or +1 (855) 889-3137. Once a parcel ships, the refund process applies instead.

How do I track my order?

Use the tracking link in the shipping email, or contact support with your order ID.

Guarantee and refunds

Does Melonex have a money-back guarantee?

Yes, 60 days. Empty and opened bottles are accepted.

When does the 60 days start?

The checkout's return policy counts from the order date; the terms page counts from delivery. Use the order date to be safe.

How do I request a refund?

Email [email protected] with "Refund Request" in the subject and your order ID, then mail every bottle with the packing slip to 11870 62nd St N, Largo, FL 33773.

Who pays return shipping?

You do. The policy says the company does not cover return shipping costs.

How long does the refund take?

The return policy quotes 5 to 10 days after your parcel arrives; the terms page says 3 to 5 business days. Bank posting time comes on top.
